6th FIAP PHOTO MEETING - Morocco 2019
The Atelier Photographic Art Association, operational member of the International Federation of Photographic Art, hosted the 6th FIAP Photo meeting with the participation of 200 photographers from 36 countries; It was an opportunity for FIAP members to travel an adventurous itinerary of approximately 2000 km in the south of Morocco, a journey full of discoveries, meetings, wonderful photographic opportunities, and escapes within magnificent and dazzling landscapes. of singular beauty in the heart of the Draa Tafilalt and Jebel Saghro valley.
The highlight of the adventure for our participating photographers was the meeting of camel drivers with their caravans of 130 dromedaries alongside 4x4 cars in the middle of the desert, to go on an excursion on camels and join a majestic dune of Merzouga then at sunset, leaving in a caravan in the old days, and for only horizon, dunes and their soft curves carved delicately by the Saharan wind, was a mysterious experience for our photographers, the task was not easy for some of our photographers because of the heat in the middle of the extensive sand dunes, but an hour before dusk a strong sensation reigned over all of the participants, offering them an atmosphere of meditation and magical tranquility with strong inspiration to recreate incredible photographic scenes. Just after sunset, the photographers had another experience to live 7 km from Merzouga, the unusual village of khamlia which bears witness to the indelible traces of the caravan route and the trans-Saharan trade, also nicknamed "African village of bambaras or Gnawa "come for centuries in this region, The welcome of the photographers in the heart of this village was pleasant and hospitable, with a whole program of animation and shooting opportunities offered around a giant fire, camel drivers , traditional clothes and customs, all accompanied by a local spectacle animated by the bambaras, inhabitants of the African village.

L’Association Atelier d’Art Photographique, membre opérationnel de la Fédération Internationale de l’Art photographique, a accueilli la 6ème FIAP Photo meeting avec la participation de 200 photographes venant de 36 pays; C’était une occasion pour les membres de la FIAP de parcourir un itinéraire aventureux de 2000 Km environ au sud du Maroc, un parcours plein de découvertes, de rencontres, de merveilleuses opportunités photographiques, et d’évasions au sein de paysages grandioses et éclatants d’une beauté singulière au cœur de la vallée de Draa Tafilalt et Jebel Saghro.
Le point culminant de l’aventure pour nos photographes participants a été la rencontre des chameliers avec leurs caravanes de 130 dromadaires à côté des voitures 4x4 en plein désert, pour partir en excursion à dos de chameaux et rejoindre une majestueuses dune de Merzouga et y assister ensuite au coucher de soleil, partir en caravane à l’ancien temps, et pour seul horizon, des dunes et leurs courbes douces sculptées délicatement par le vent saharien, était une expérience mystérieuse pour nos photographes, la tâche n’était pas facile à certains de nos photographes à cause de la chaleur au milieu des dunes de sable étendues, mais une heure avant le crépuscule une forte sensation a régnée sur l’ensemble des participants, en leur offrant une ambiance de méditation et de quiétude magique avec fortes inspiration de recréer des scènes photographiques incroyables. Juste après le coucher de soleil les photographes avaient rendez-vous à une autre expérience à vivre à 7 Km de Merzouga, le village insolite de khamlia qui témoigne des traces indélébiles de la route des caravanes et du commerce transsaharien, surnommé également « village africain des bambaras ou Gnawa » venus depuis des siècles dans cette région, L’accueil des photographes au cœur de ce village était agréable et hospitalier, avec toute une programmation d’animation et opportunités de prises de vues offertes autour d’un feu géant, des chameliers, des habits et coutumes traditionnels, le tout accompagné d’un spectacle local animé par les bambaras, habitants du village africain. "
