In Nkob, or the village of 45 Kasbah and cradle of the tribe of Ait Atta, FIAP was guest of honor to attend the 3rd edition of the Kasbah Festival, organized by the N'kob Kasbah Festival Association. In collaboration with the Association Atelier d'Art Photographique, a beautiful carnival rich with local customs and traditions was inaugurated by the FIAP president and the two presidents of the two associations, in the presence of the participating photographers who appreciated this warm welcome, not to mention the tour around the kasbahs and the walk to the palm grove at the foot of the village Nkob. After our program at Nkob, it was desirable to reach the famous Kasbah of Tamnougalt and its magical palm grove before the sunset, unfortunately the arrival to Tamnougalt village was late, and the visit was limited to the discovery of ksar Tamnougalt , a military dam of the time to protect the Draa Valley against invasions looters, given its strategic position and its location on the caravan route from Marrakech to Timbuktu.
The desert circuit was closed in Ouarzazate by the photographers participating in the film studios to discover and photograph these studios that have served as decorations for internationally known productions.

The highlight of the adventure for our participating photographers was the meeting of the camel drivers with their caravans of 130 camels alongside 4x4 cars in the middle of the desert, to go on camel rides and join a majestic Merzouga dune and attend then at sunset, leaving in a caravan at the old time, and for only horizon, dunes and their soft curves carved delicately by the Saharan wind, was a mysterious experiment for our photographers, the task was not easy to some of our photographers because of the heat in the midst of the extensive sand dunes, but an hour before dusk a strong sensation reigned over all the participants, offering them an atmosphere of meditation and magical tranquility with strong inspiration to recreate incredible photographic scenes. Just after sunset, the photographers had an appointment with another experience to live 7 km from Merzouga, the unusual village of khamlia that bears witness to the indelible traces of the caravan route and the trans-Saharan trade, also known as the "African village of bambaras or Gnawa "come for centuries in this region, The reception of the photographers in the heart of this village was pleasant and hospitable, with a whole program of animation and shooting opportunities offered around a giant fire, camel drivers , traditional clothes and customs, all accompanied by a local show animated by the bambaras, inhabitants of the African village.

The rhythm of the adventure was accentuated with the departure of the participating photographers to the conquest for real moments of escapes from Ouarzazate to Tinghir, Arfoud, Merzouga, khamlia and Nkob, a course full of a diversity of incredible landscapes and splendid panoramas stretched between desert and green valleys, a departure towards an authentic destination along an exotic route at the foot of the mountain range of Djebel Saghro, which testifies to the most ingrained traditions of the region and expresses the cultural diversity of all of Morocco, which provided strong sensations to participating photographers, constantly amazed by unforgettable photographic opportunities during walks in the heart of palm groves, kasbahs, and old-time district, the Dades Gorge and Todgha Gorge or time goes back several centuries.
Still, it is the cinematographic region par excellence, our participating photographers had an appointement with the most attractive natural cinematographic sets by the most famous directors in the world, it is in this region that Laurence of Saudi David Lean was shot, A Sahara Tea with John Malkovich, Ridley Scott's Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven, Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ, The Nile Diamond with Michael Douglas, and many other world-famous productions.
At the edge of the desert, our participating photographers did not miss the pleasure of visiting the Sources Museum Lalla Maymouna, and meeting its founder, the artist Zaid, it was a must-visit for a very inspiring place of local life dependent water, and centered on the Berber and nomadic cultural heritage.

Anyway, I have a real interest to take part at the FIAP Photo meeting Marocco 2019 as I am the FIAP Liaison officer for Slovakia - Europe and the member of the Board of directors of the Slovak Federation of Photographers, member of FIAP. As the General Assembly will also be held there, it is very important for me, as the representative of the Slovak photographers, to take part on this meeting also from the reason that I could not take part at FIAP Congress in Durban.

Real thanks to all of you.

Waiting for your confirmation of my presence on Marocco FIAP Photo meeting
